Wendy Teal, MS, CCC-SLP
President, Speech-Language Pathologist
Wendy received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Yale University. After teaching 2nd grade for a year in Connecticut, Wendy decided to pursue and complete her Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology at Vanderbilt University where she graduated in 2001.
Wendy has had the opportunity to work in several different areas of the field. She has enjoyed her experiences in a private clinic setting, HeadStart, a rehabilitation hospital, and the school system.
Wendy has been working with pediatrics, and specifically the Early Intervention population (birth through 3 years), since 2001.
She stresses the importance of making therapy sessions fun for children in order to make it enjoyable as well as beneficial. Wendy also enjoys being part of a team with the child’s teachers/caregivers and parents to help support the child across different settings in order to maximize the child’s progress and potential.
Wendy is certified in PROMPT as well as the Hanen programs “It Takes Two to Talk” and “More than Words”.
In her free time, Wendy enjoys reading, exercising and spending time with her 2 sons and family.
Margaret Stewart, MS, CCC-SLP
Speech-Language Pathologist
Meg attended Wake Forest University for her undergraduate degree in teaching. She taught for two years in Nashville, TN. Meg then received her Masters in Speech Pathology from Idaho State University in 2002.
She has 22 years of experience working with articulation, language, fluency and the severe and profound populations in both school setting and early intervention. In her clinical experience Meg has worked on assistive technology teams, developed experience in pediatric feeding disorders, and has been certified to implement Picture Exchange Communication System (PECS).
She enjoys working in natural environments and in particular likes incorporating functional communication strategies in the home and school settings.
Meg loves traveling, spending time with her two kids and family and getting outside.
Michelle Houston, MS, CCC-SLP
Speech-Language Pathologist
Michelle received her Bachelor of Science degree in Communication Disorders in 2004 and her Master of Science degree in 2006 from Mercy College in New York City.
Michelle has had the opportunity to work in the school system (serving middle & high school), Headstart and the private clinic setting.
Michelle has been working with pediatrics/elementary (birth – 3 years; 4-10 years) since 2004 and 11- 18+ years since 2015. She has enjoyed working with both populations.
Michelle enjoys being a part of a collaborative team that includes parents/caregivers, teachers, OT, PT and student when age appropriate. She stresses the importance of focusing on the “WHOLE” child to maximize their true potential.
Michelle is certified in the Haven’t program “It Takes Two To Talk”. She participates in ongoing continuing education workshops & trainings that are evidence-based for best practice when evaluating & providing therapy.
In her free time, Michelle enjoys gardening and spending time with family & friends
Amy Daniel, MSP, CCC-SLP
Speech-Language Pathologist
Amy received her Bachelor of Science in Communication Sciences and Disorders from University of North Carolina at Greensboro in 2011. Upon completing her Bachelor Degree, Amy went straight into her Master Degree and completed her Master Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from Armstrong Atlantic State University in 2013.
Amy has had the opportunity to work in several different areas of the field. She has enjoyed her experiences in a private clinic setting, HeadStart, home health, hospital, Telehealth and the school system.
Amy has been working with pediatrics and specifically the school age and Early Intervention population (birth through 3 years) since 2013. She has worked with a variety of diagnoses including Autism Spectrum Disorder, suspected Autism Spectrum Disorder, expressive and receptive language disorders, articulation, apraxia, phonological processing disorders fluency, and pragmatic disorders. Amy has received certifications in Diagnosis and treatment of CAS using dynamic temporal And tactile cuing, the SATPAC effective and efficient way to remediate speech sounds; as well as maintaining up to date CEU’s on various topics that she may come in contact with.
She enjoys making therapy sessions fun as well as relatable for children and parents to help support both parent and child in daily life. Amy’s passion currently in the field of speech is for early intervention/early language development and working with the cdsa/headstart and families in the birth to three population since you are able to see so much growth in the day to day routines with these families as well as school age articulation/phonological processing delays.
In her spare time she enjoys reading, exploring new towns and spaces, spending time with her family, cooking and traveling with her husband.
Michelle Collis, MS, CCC-SLP
Speech-Language Pathologist
Michelle received her Bachelor Degree (1996) and Masters Degree (1998) in Communication Disorders from Western Carolina University in Cullowhee, NC. She has enjoyed working in the public school systems in North Carolina and Georgia. She has worked in private practice with ages 9 months to 18 years old.
Working with families and educating caregivers on strategies and ways in to increase communication is a rewarding part of her therapy. It is exciting to see a child begin to communicate and grow in language skills.
In her spare time, Michelle enjoying thrifting, reading, and traveling with her family.
Megan Lubowicz, SLP-Assistant

Megan is a licensed SLPA who received her Bachelor’s degree in Communicative Disorders and Deaf Education from Utah State University.
Megan has a passion for kids and enjoys working with the pediatric population especially the little ones in early intervention programs. She has experience working with kids that have been diagnosed with developmental delays for speech and language such as receptive/expressive language disorders, articulation/phonological disorders, autism, apraxia of speech and different syndromes.
Megan has experience providing services in different settings that include homes, schools, daycares and preschools. She enjoys working closely with the families of the children and other professionals to ensure an optimization of the speech and language services provided.
Megan is supervised by Meg Stewart, SLP and is a registered speech-language pathology assistant by the North Carolina Board of Examiners for Speech-Language Pathologists and Audiologists.
Holly McLaughlin, MA, CCC-SLP
Speech-Language Pathologist
Holly received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She received her Master of Arts degree in Communication Disorders from Appalachian State University in 2008.
Holly has previous experience working in both inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation hospital settings with pediatric, adult and geriatric populations.
After her own son needed early intervention and benefited greatly from those services, Holly became interested in working exclusively with pediatrics in the early intervention setting. Holly has worked in this setting since 2016.
Her clinical experience includes the evaluation and treatment of children with a variety of diagnoses including Autism Spectrum Disorder and Down Syndrome, receptive and expressive language disorders, phonological and articulation disorders, fluency disorders, and hearing impairments.
Holly enjoys working directly with families in their natural environments and helping them meet their communication goals through play-based routines
In her spare time, Holly likes to create art with a variety of mediums (painting, sketching, sculpting with clay) and teaches online art classes occasionally. She also enjoys hanging out with her husband, son, and their pets.
Michelle Boles, DPT
Physical Therapist
Michelle received her Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science from the University of Georgia.
She graduated from the University of Health Sciences in St. Augustine, Florida with her Doctorate’s degree in Physical Therapy in 2003. Michelle started off working with the pediatric population in a clinic and home health setting in Tampa, Florida where she learned a working knowledge of speaking Spanish. After moving to North Carolina Michelle continued to work with the pediatric population, specifically the Early Intervention population (birth to 3 years). Michelle enjoys working together with families and daycare staff to create programs to benefit her clients. With more than 20 years experience with the pediatric population, Michelle has experience with children with a wide range of different diagnoses such as developmental delay, cerebral palsy, hypotonia and torticollis.
In her free time she enjoys reading, watching soccer and gymnastics and spending time with her friends and 2 children.
Porsha Norwood, SLP-Assistant

Porsha Norwood earned her Bachelor of Science degree in communication studies at Appalachian State University in Boone, NC. She earned her Associates of Applied Science from Caldwell Community College and Technical Institute in the Speech Language Pathology Assistant program. Porsha has been a passionate SLPA working with children since 2020. She is from the wonderful state of North Carolina.
Porsha enjoys providing speech therapy for pediatric and elementary school-aged kiddos.
In her spare time, she loves to spend time with her family, gardening and cooking.
Stefanie Aranda
Speech-Language Pathologist
Stefanie received a Bachelor’s degree from Northwestern University in 1995 and a Master’s Degree from Northwestern University in 1997. She is a non-native Spanish speaker and provides both evaluation and treatment in both Spanish and English. While she has worked in a variety of settings and with various populations, her focus remains early childhood/early intervention and bilingual language acquisition.
In her free time, she can be found spending time with her family which includes two children, two dogs, and two cats. She is an animal lover and volunteers for a cat rescue group.
Kristie Pruno, MS, CCC-SLP
Speech-Language Pathologist
Kristie received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Communicative Disorders in 2002 from the University of Wisconsin – Oshkosh, and her Master’s of Science degree in Speech Language Pathology in 2005 from the University of Wisconsin – Stevens Point. Kristie has spent the majority of her career working the school setting with preschool through middle school aged students. She has also been working in private clinics and providing in home therapy services for the Early Intervention and School Aged populations for the last 12 years.
Kristie’s favorite part of working in the home health / early intervention setting is being able to work collaboratively with families to set priorities and to help meet their goals for their child.
Kimberly Gibson
Billing Manager
Kimberly received her Bachelor of Business Administration degree from the University of Wisconsin, Oshkosh. After a variety of accounting roles, she settled on the health care industry taking a senior role with a large hospital system. Having since relocated to North Carolina, but staying within the healthcare realm, she took on a role that wears many hats with Pediatric Theraplay.
